We avoid presenting unverified details as certain; travelers should check current details before visiting.
When credible errors are reported, we review and amend the information as appropriate.

First-hand experience

We do not describe a location as personally visited or reported on-site unless that is true. Byline and editor information is provided where verified and available.

Use of AI

AI may assist with research organization, outlines, drafting or translations. AI-generated content does not itself verify facts. We distinguish claims requiring checks and do not invent personal experiences or testimonials.

Photography

We consider image provenance, usage rights and the privacy of people depicted. Edited or generated imagery should not mislead readers into treating it as unaltered documentary evidence.
